My name is Basia and I'm a film photographer based in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi.

Much of my inspiration comes from traveling and experiencing places that are new to me — especially the buildings, textures, and quiet details that give a place its character. I’m drawn to architecture and environments that tell a story on their own, and I photograph them as a way of remembering how a place felt, not just how it looked.

When working with people, my goal is to create images they’ll hold onto for a lifetime. I approach portrait sessions as a collaboration — choosing a location, setting a mood, and shaping the overall vibe together. Whether that means a beach at golden hour, an urban backdrop, or time spent in the forest, the process is about building a shared vision. Shooting on film is part of that intention, but what matters most is creating images that feel personal, honest, and unmistakably yours.

Travel, place, and connection continue to shape how I see and shoot, and I’m always inspired by the idea that every location — and every person — brings something entirely unique to the frame.
